Summary | 0000035: "Player Nick In Use" error message when reconnecting after timeout without internet access |
---|
Description | As the title says, when MTAClient in 0.5/0.5r2, and possibly other versions, is told to reconnect manually after timing out during a loss of internet, but not network access, (while the internet is still inaccessible), it will sometimes fail stating that the player's nickname is already in use, which it should not do. The correct error message would be the connection timed out error message. |
---|
Steps To Reproduce | Run a remote server. Connect MTAClient to it. Disconnect internet, (but not network), access. Allow MTAClient to constantly attempt to reconnect until it gives up. Wait a few minutes, then click Connect to manually reconnect. Wait, as MTAClient may freeze or lock up for a few moments. The error message should appear. |
---|
Additional Information | My best guess is this is caused by bugged code in the manual reconnection process after a time out when internet access is still not available, and MTAClient is trying to make sense of what error to display, so it puts up the first one it can through the bugged code. |
