Summary | 0000112: Improper server shutdown doesn't disconnect client properly |
---|
Description | If the server is shut down by any method that causes it to end its operations without saving, (meaning without pressing "q" to quit the server), the client will not see the server shut down, and will not timeout or disconnect, nor display any server shutdown notices. It simply sits there without sending or receiving any data, or updating any sent chat. |
---|
Steps To Reproduce | Connect to a server. Close the server improperly by hitting the window's close button. After the server closes, go back to the client. It will not show any notices about the server being shut down, nor will it timeout or disconnect. |
---|
Additional Information | This may be a problem on both the server and client's ends. The server should still be sending a shutdown notice upon improper closing, and the client should be timing out if it loses the connection and doesn't receive the notice. |
